I started at 30 and there was a 72 year old in my dojo. It's never too late to start. How over weight are you? As long as you can move, you can do aikido. Yes, it will become a lot easier when you start to lose weight, which you probably should for your health anyway, but don't let your weight stop you from doing something as awesome as aikido.
