12/17/2001 · I've been playing a game or 2 at just about every save sphere since Luca. My team is all the origional Aurochs and they are pretty well leveled. Tidus is at about a 23 now and I read that you have to have his key techniques before you can teach him the Jecht Shot 2. It says you also have to learn them in a certain order.

By marking players on the opposing team, there is a chance your player will learn the ability should that opponent use the ability during the match. When they do use it you will be able to learn it by pressing X at the correct time.

Key Techniques: Key techniques are techniques which a player must learn in order. Only after they learn all their key techniques may they learn certain techniques. Tidus for one, can't learn the Jecht Shot 2 until he has all three key techniques.
Each player can learn all techs. Here's how that works: Each player starts with a number of techs that they can learn. One of those techs is the first key tech that will unlock the ability to learn the next group of techs. The next group which includes the second key tech for unlocking the following group after that.
